So I completed my Real Estate Salesperson course. I passed the second section with like an 82%. I wasn’t so much worried about the score I achieved as I was passing. I think a 72% score was passing so I came in well under (over?) the wire.
Next week (10/8) I’ll be taking the state exam. It cost $120 and when I pass that, I’ll get my salesperson license immediately. Woo!
Now my only remaining task will be to locate a Brokerage that will be willing to let me ‘hang my hat’ at their organization. I don’t really plan on pursuing clients to buy/sell houses. I really wanted the license as a tool to give me access to the things that Agents get (like access to homes on the market, MLS access, networking opportunities etc.).
Now of course if someone says “hey Aneal, help me sell my house”, I’m not going to turn them away. Hit me up (as if anyone reads this :).
